A Bollywood news website speculated earlier today that Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt might be the onscreen pain in the delayed Dharma productions film, Shhuddhi. Earlier, Salman Khan & Deepika Padukone were reported to be acting in the film. Salman had inadvertently let it slip that he was doing it during Kick promotions; but Deepika recently denied signing it.
We now know that Varun Dhawan has replaced Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt will co-star with him. In fact, Salman had suggested Varun’s name to K Jo for this much talked about role. And look at the actor’s tweet here:
"Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan...made ur dad n me so proud of u... happy Shhuddhi”
While reasons for Salman Khan not doing this project are not yet clear, it can be safely suggested that his ongoing legal hassles with two court cases might be the reason that the superstar is holding off on taking up new projects.
